The following nature video of Cades Cove, TN includes cicadas, black bear, Wild Turkey, and white-tailed deer. Also included in the video is a beaver dam from Abram's Creek along with a downed tree and stump from beaver activity.

Due to the 17 year cicada emergence, black bears were numerous in the cove. Black bears could be frequently found, regardless of the time of day, walking the wood line of the fields searching for and eating cicadas. This trip in late May 2008 is easily the best time I have had with the bears.

Note to self: Go back to Cades Cove in late May 2025 to experience the cicada emergence and the black bear feeding frenzy.
